Automation for UK solar developers, EPCs and commercial installers
More qualified sites and quotes, without more people.
Your pipeline leaks in the same three places: sites that never get found, quotes that never get chased, and DNO paperwork sitting in someone's inbox. We fix one at a time, at a fixed price, and keep it running for a fixed monthly fee.
The problem
Margin pressure in C&I solar is an acquisition-cost problem wearing a pricing disguise.
Two firms with identical crew costs, identical hardware pricing and an identical quote can have wildly different margins — because one paid £120 to generate the enquiry and the other paid £15. Before you touch your price list, it's worth knowing where the pipeline actually leaks.
Sites you never found
Origination still runs on drive-bys, agents and somebody's spreadsheet. The commercial roofs in your region that nobody has approached are invisible until a competitor gets there.
Quotes nobody chased
The cheapest lead you will ever get is the quote you already sent. Most go out, get one follow-up, and quietly die — with no record of why they were lost.
Paperwork that drifts
G99 applications, structural surveys and missing documents sit in inboxes. Nobody owns the deadline until it has already slipped and the customer is asking.
What we build
Five fixed-scope products. Pick the one that hurts most.
Every engagement is a fixed scope at a fixed price, built on the tools you already use, documented and handed over. No day rates. No open-ended discovery.
Site-Origination Engine
A ranked shortlist of commercial rooftops and land parcels in your regions, delivered into your CRM every week.
- Screens candidate sites on area, orientation and shading proxies
- Scores estimated load profile by sector and grid-connection headroom
- Resolves the owner or occupier and the likely decision-maker
- Drafts the first-contact letter and a one-page site brief
- Full audit trail of every data source behind each site
Quote follow-up and nurture
Every open quote chased on a schedule, in your voice, with the reasons-lost captured so you learn something from the ones that go cold.
- Timed, personalised sequences per quote value and sector
- Stale quotes flagged to the right person before they die
- Structured reasons-lost feeding a monthly report
Lead qualification and triage
Inbound enquiries scored against site suitability and budget signals within minutes, so your team only reads the ones worth reading.
- Automatic scoring on roof, sector, size band and timeline
- Unsuitable enquiries answered politely and immediately
- Qualified leads in front of a human the same day
DNO / G99 tracker
Application status, deadlines and missing documents tracked per project, with reminders going to the person who can actually act.
- Per-project status board across all live applications
- Deadline and document-gap alerts before they slip
- Weekly summary for the project manager
Proposal generator
Per-kWp pricing, yield estimate, AIA-adjusted payback and a finance-route comparison assembled into a branded PDF from a short form.
- Consistent, itemised proposals every time
- Four-metric payback, not a single headline number
- Capex, lease and PPA routes compared side by side
How it works
Audit, build, run. Three steps, all fixed price.
Origination Audit — £950 + VAT
A 40-minute questionnaire you fill in when it suits you, and one 30-minute call. Ten working days later you get a map of where your pipeline leaks, the three automations with the best payback, and a fixed quote for each. The fee is credited against any build ordered within 30 days.
Build — fixed scope, three to five weeks
Built on your existing systems wherever possible, tested against your real data, documented, and handed over with training. You own it. There is no platform lock-in and no per-seat licence.
Run — £1,250 + VAT per month
Monitoring, fixes, one workflow change a month, a monthly performance report and a two-working-day response allowance. Thirty days' notice, cancel any time.
Scope
What you get, and what we will not do.
Scope disputes are what turn a profitable fixed-price project into an unprofitable one. So the boundaries are on the website, not buried in a schedule.
What's included
- Discovery, design, build, integration, testing and documentation
- Training for your team and a written handover
- A warranty period after launch at no extra cost
- Human approval gates on anything that leaves your business
- UK GDPR terms and a data-processing agreement in every SOW
- An audit trail of every data source behind every output
What's excluded
- Land negotiation, legal work and planning submissions — we prepare, you submit
- Guarantees of connection offers, deals won or revenue
- Holding your passwords — access is via your own accounts
- Processing special-category personal data
- Unlimited support: the retainer defines the allowance in writing
- Anything sent to a landowner or customer without your sign-off
Who you're dealing with
We speak DNO, not just API.
Most automation consultancies arrive knowing software and learning your industry on your budget. This one runs the other way round: ten years in solar, wind and edge data centres, two decades before that recruiting C-suite operators, and a chemistry degree underneath it all. You will not spend the first meeting explaining what a G99 application is.
Founding clients
We are taking on three founding clients at reduced rates.
This is a new practice and we would rather say so than manufacture testimonials. In exchange for a written case study and a reference call once the system is live, the first three clients get:
- Builds at £2,500 + VAT instead of £3,000–4,500
- The retainer at £950 + VAT per month instead of £1,250, held for the first twelve months
- Direct access to the person building it, not an account manager
If it doesn't work, you keep the documentation and we don't publish anything. That is the whole risk.
Questions
The things people ask before they book.
Do I have to get on a call?
Not to buy. The audit needs one 30-minute call because there are things a questionnaire will not surface, but everything before that can be email or a two-minute video. We would rather send you a recorded walkthrough than hold a discovery call that wastes both our afternoons.
Will this send emails to landowners or customers in my name?
Only with your approval, and for the first thirty days of any engagement, only one message at a time with a human reading each one. After that you can move to rules-based sending if you want to. Your name is on the letter, so you decide what goes out.
What happens to my data?
A data-processing agreement forms part of every statement of work. We work inside your systems using access you grant to your own accounts, we never hold your passwords, and we do not process special-category personal data. Site and company data comes from public registers and open sources with the provenance recorded.
Is this just ChatGPT with a markup?
Language models do some of the work — extraction, drafting, classification. They are not the product. The product is a tested pipeline with defined inputs, human approval gates, error handling, a manual fallback and a monthly report, built around your process. Anyone can write a prompt; the engineering is in what happens when the model is wrong.
What if the automation breaks?
Every build has a manual fallback, so a failure means slower, not stopped. The retainer covers monitoring and fixes with a two-working-day response allowance. During the warranty period after launch, fixes are free regardless of retainer.
Why should I not just hire a junior?
Sometimes you should. A junior researcher is better than a pipeline when the work needs judgement, relationships or negotiation. Automation wins where the work is repetitive, high-volume and rules-based — screening two thousand roofs, chasing forty quotes, tracking a dozen G99 deadlines. The honest answer is that the audit tells you which of your problems is which, and if the answer is "hire someone", we will say so.
